Established to address energy transfer needs, SIC (Société Industrielle de Condensateurs) was incorporated in 1921 before merging with SAFCO (Société Anonyme de Fabrication de Condensateurs) in 1954. Sic Safco became Exxelia Sic Safco in 2015. Today Exxelia Sic Safco produces every type of electrolytic aluminum capacitor such as Screw Terminal, Non-Cylindrical Radial Solder, Cylindrical Radial, Radial Solder and Axial. Exxelia Sic Safco collaborates with French Universities in research and innovation projects using leading-edge facilities in the development of new products.
