Paktron began in 1953 as ACF Electronics in Alexandria, Virginia. It was purchased in 1960 by Illinois Tool Works and renamed Paktron. Production was moved to Lynchburg, Virginia, where it is today. Paktron holds in excess of 75 patents for film capacitors and machine design.
